Application Procedure for Admission
Two separate Application Forms along with the
respective Coding Sheets, i.e one each for admission to B.Tech degree course and
Biology based degree courses [B.D.S., B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Pharm., B.Sc.(Nursing),
B.P.T., B.Sc.(MLT) and M.B.B.S.] have been prescribed.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech degree course should apply only in the
application form and coding sheet prescribed for B.Tech. degree course.
- Candidates seeking admission to biology-based degree courses should apply only
in the application form and coding sheet prescribed for them (Only one
application form is prescribed for all the biology-based degree courses).
- Candidates seeking admission to both the courses, namely B.Tech degree and
Biology-based degree courses, should apply in the two separate application forms
prescribed for them, along with the necessary enclosures, for each application.
- Candidates seeking admission to B.Pharm degree course should state
their option very clearly in the application form and coding sheet for
biology-based courses. Note:Options exercised will be final, and changes
in this regard at a later date shall not be considered.
- Applications should not be interchanged among the candidates or categories.
Application forms meant for SC/ST candidates must be used only by those
candidates. If other category candidates use those applications, their
application will be rejected.
- All photographs used for identification purpose until the admission of the
candidate is over, shall be the prints from the same negative. It is advised
that sufficient number of copies of the photograph may be kept in reserve to
meet any situation like the one described above that may arise any time in
future
- Filled-in Application / (s) for admission along with Coding Sheet / (s)
and all necessary enclosures should be sent in the prescribed envelope / (s) to
The Convenor, Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC),
Pondicherry Engineering College campus, Puducherry –605 014, so as to reach
latest by 23.06.2008,5.00 p.m.
- The last date for the receipt of admission applications at CENTAC office is
23.06.2008 up to 5.00 p.m.
- In case of delay in the declaration of the qualifying examinations results
i.e. after 23.06.2008 by any HSC Board, the candidates from that Board should
not wait for the result, but submit the admission applications at CENTAC office
on or before last date.
- CENTAC will not be responsible for postal or any other delay.
- Applications received after the due date and time
will be summarily rejected and no further correspondence will be entertained in
this regard.
- The certificates of Nationality, caste and residence need to be obtained from
the respective competent authorities in the prescribed formats. Candidates
claiming admission under special regional allocation should obtain necessary
certificates in the format prescribed and given in Annexure V.
- No original certificates should be enclosed and sent along with the filled-in
application form. Only attested copies of the certificate need to be enclosed
with the application form. At the time of the counselling all the original
certificates need to be produced for verifications.
- Applications which are incomplete, defective will also summarily be rejected
and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
- Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Specific instructions /
Guidelines to fill the Application Form / (s) and Guidelines to fill up the
Coding Sheet / (s) given in the Information Bulletin, before filling the
Application Form / (s) and Coding Sheet / (s) for admission. Candidates are
also advised to carefully go through the Check List in the Application Form for
admission and ensure that all copies of required documents have been enclosed
and then mailed to the Convenor, CENTAC.
- Candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc. (Agri.) Degree course should
obtain the admission application from The Dean, PAJANCOA&RI, Nedungadu, Karaikal
– 609 603, against a separate advertisement that will be given by PAJANCOA&RI,
Karaikal, and send the filled - in application directly to the Dean within the
prescribed last date.
- Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. (Agri) shall also refer to the
Information Brochure–2008 of PAJANCOA&RI for all details like eligibility,
procedure etc.
Note: (i) Write the ‘application number’ in all the enclosures sent along
with the main application form, for each course.
(ii) Once “registration number’ has been allotted, it shall be quoted in all
future correspondence, without which, due attention may not be given thereto.
